Hi there.   Sam here.  The following will be my review of the product Subliminal Guru.

What is it?

Subliminal Guru is a website where one can purchase a number of different subliminal mp3s geared at improving different aspects of one’s life…with minimal effort.  The categories covered include:  health and fitness, improve your body, sleep and relaxation, mental skills, emotions, personal power, enrich your life, business success, bad habits, addictions, phobias, illness, love and marriage, sexuality, parent and baby, skills, music and arts, and sports.

They also have subliminal bundles with a four subliminal mp3s titles within a general, but focused topic of improvement such as: weight loss, millionaire mindset, law of attraction, lead a happy life, be a dating dynamo, etc.  For example, within the bundle entitled law of attraction is included the mp3s titled: Master the law of attraction, attract more money, attract an abundant lifestyle, an attitude of gratitude.

Each title comes with 6 tracks of different types of music, plus one with audible spoken messages (the same messages that are on the other tracks, but subliminal) at ten minutes in length.  In addition these six music tracks and spoken word track come in a brainwave entrainment version.  So, in all, there are 14 tracks.

What I found interesting is that you can create your own subliminal album with positive affirmations that you write yourself.  You have to choose from one of the six musical styles Subliminal Guru offers, but you can put a number of different positive statements to affect different areas of your life (love life, career, physical, emotional, spiritual, etc.) all in one track.  I thought that was cool.

Pros

  • wide variety of mp3s to choose from in all manner of life category
  • Subliminal bundles!
  • create your own album
  • 14 day money back guarantee
  • 2 free mp3s
  • standard, audible, and brain entrainment versions

Cons

  • too many choices. Choosing becomes an anxiety inducing exercise
  • too many versions of each MP3: 6 music tracks, one audible spoken word and with standard and brain entrainment versions of each.

You’ve probably noticed that the two items in the cons list are also essentially in the pros list.  This is a case of the greatest strengths also being the greatest weaknesses.

Conclusion

Ultimately I like this product.  As you’ve seen from some of my previous posts, I’m all for easy self-improvement, and it doesn’t get any easier than subliminal programming.  That being said, I’ve tried a number of products of this sort and find that this one has had the quickest and greatest affect on me.  Perhaps it is the quality of the recordings, or something less obvious, but I find that the changes I’ve wanted to affect within my life are coming about quicker, and I attribute this to Subliminal Guru’s product.  Again, I can only speak from my experience, but my experience has been a positive one.  Many blessings to you all.

Our thoughts oftentimes become supremely negative and can affect our day to day lives.  We can find our thoughts caught in a loop of repeating negative self-talk, or often find these negative thought patterns in a spiral where, with each looping of negative thoughts, the thoughts become progressively more negative and darker.

Like Newton’s Law, an object in motion tends to stay in motion and our negative spiralling seems to mimic this quality of relentless motion also.  We need something powerful, abrupt and of a different quality of energy, to turn the negative flow toward the positive in quality of thought and energy.

Grab at any positive thought and then another, and then another, and another to begin to spiral upward in one’s energy and toward a positive bent in one’s thoughts.  This often requires a conscious act of will, which can be aided with the help of sources outside oneself: a kind and loving friend; happy, uplifting music; a favourite comedy movie or television program: a video or podcast that uplifts or spurs laughter: or physical movement (exercise, walking, Tai Chi, etc.)

Another outside source that can turn one’s negative thoughts toward the positive are subliminal programs with uplifting or meditative music.  In addition to turning one’s thoughts around, subliminals have a way of rewriting the subconscious programs that we have been given throughout our lifetime without our conscious choice to subconscious programs that serve us and are of our own choosing, in order to heal and grow, and thrive.

I have been doing Tai Chi for years now.  It is a relaxing exercise with precise, slow, mindful movements done with deep breathing.  It creates a sense of harmony, and peace within one’s body and spirit.  In addition it greatly relaxes the body.

If one plays subliminal audio programs with a relaxing, soothing melody, or with nature sounds while doing Tai chi, or just after, it tends to increase the state of relaxation.  Now here’s the kicker: in this state of relaxation, wherein the mind is free of the incessant loop of negative thoughts over worries, and regrets, the positive affirmations embedded in the subliminal audio program can be implanted even deeper into our subconscious mind.  This can only mean greater self-improvement in a shorter time.

Tai Chi in itself is great, but when it is combined with a subliminal audio program, it takes the benefits to a higher level.  I think we all have areas in our lives that we would like to see improvements, and this combination of Tai Chi and subliminal audio programs is another tool in our toolbox for positive self-improvement.

Can meditation increase the efficacy of any subliminal program one may wish to use?

Meditation can put you in a more relaxed receptive state.  Perhaps a state so receptive that, theoretically,  the subliminal suggestions within the subliminal audio program you are listening to may be embedded deeper into your subconscious mind.  In theory this seems quite possible.  In practice though it depends if one can actually achieve such a deep, relaxed, receptive state.

I don’t know about you, but I often find it hard to reach such deep levels during meditation.  Often my monkey mind is jumping frantically from one subject or another as I try to concentrate on my breaths or a mantra or two.  Perhaps for a more experienced meditator this would not be an issue.  That being said, anyone who can get that deep into their subconscious mind during meditation may just plant their own pre-fabricated suggestions into their subconscious mind through a sheer act of will.

Also, it may be said that such a pre-fabricated suggestion (“I am wealthy, healthy, and loved”, for example) could be used as a mantra to induce an altered, receptive state.  It may be beneficial to use an affirmation as a mantra while having a subliminal audio program related to the chosen affirmation and with relaxing music playing in the background.  I’ve found this quasi-self-hypnosis technique the best to get me into a deep state of relaxation during meditation, and perhaps a more receptive state to more deeply embed my affirmation and the subliminal suggestions on whatever subliminal audio file I may be using at the time.

In conclusion, I do believe that the combination of affirmations, meditation, and a subliminal audio can augment one’s meditation experience to deeper levels and embed self-improvement beliefs into one’s subconscious mind.  Give it a try.  Happy experimenting.

What is Ho’oponopono

Traditional Ho’oponopono is a healing ritual from the Hawaian culture involving the one who has wronged others and all those they have wronged.  In this ritual all feelings are aired out and eventually a forgiving and cleansing are achieved.  Modern Ho’oponopono is much different.  Modern Ho’oponopono involves only oneself.  The theory is that whatever you experience or comes into your life was attracted, or (dare I write it?), created by you, and you have the responsibility to heal it.  Healing the situation in Ho’oponopono is called “cleaning”.  There are a number of methods for cleaning subconscious patterns and programs that don’t serve you, but the one that is most familiar is to repeat in your mind the following words in any order, as a prayer, as a mantra:  I’m sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, Thank you.

Supposedly, these words clean any subconscious programs within us so that we can return to what is known as the zero point which seems to be a state of pregnant possibility, wherein we can be guided by inspiration and not memory or subconscious patterns and habits embedded within our physical, mental, and spiritual structure.

From what I understand, if this practice does return one to a state akin to an empty slate, then theoretically we can write our own programming upon this empty slate.  That being said, using subliminal programs to accomplish this seems an easy and quite possibly, very fruitful endeavour.

It could be argued that we are simply using the Ho’oponopono statements, whether spoken aloud or internally, as a sort of calming meditative practice, and using it along with subliminal programs is no different than using meditation in unison with subliminals.  Perhaps, or if we believe what is claimed about Ho’oponopono’s ability to go beyond the subconscious mind to what my old spiritual teacher called “the emptiness that is full”, then we have a much more powerful tool for life improvement and self-improvement.  Or we can say that the sincere belief in something’s power is enough to make it so.  We may very well bestow the power upon what we believe has that power inherently.  I may be overreaching here, but it’s just a thought, and I tend to overthink things…sometimes.

I do use Ho’oponopono’s four cleansing statements sometimes, though I’ve found that one can replace the statement “I’m sorry” with “I apologize”  if one is uncomfortable with the “I am” part of the former statement and it’s implication of identity.  Or just using any of the statements, instead of all of them, in any order seems to work.  Regardless of whether or not this practice does clean subconscious programming, or not, at the very least it can create a calming feeling that brings one into a present-moment awareness, and that is always beneficial.

So I’ve used subliminal mp3s and I’ve used hypnosis mp3s, and I can tell you what I prefer.  Before I do that though, let’s discuss the differences and similarities.

Similarities:

  • Both Subliminals and Hypnosis implant suggestions directly into the subconscious mind
  • Both subliminals and hypnosis can lead to dramatic self-improvement in a relatively short time
  • Both subliminals and self-hypnosis programs are in an audio format (though they can be combined with video for possibly greater effect)
Differences:

Hypnosis mp3 programs require one to find a quiet place, and a quiet time for a half hour to an hour each day in order to listen to the self-hypnosis audio and get oneself into a receptive alpha state so that positive affirmations can be implanted directly into the subconscious mind.

Subliminal mp3s can be played in the background or on headphones while washing dishes, reading, exercising…basically while doing whatever you want and positive affirmations are still planted into one’s subconscious mind.

Conclusion

Both self-hypnosis and subliminal mp3 programs can aid one in one’s goals of self-transformation and self-improvement, the ultimate question to ask oneself when considering between one or the other is:  How much time do I have to spare each day?

Maybe I’m just lazy, but I love subliminal positive affirmations.  I don’t have to sit in meditation for an hour chanting positive self improvement affirmations, whether vocally, sub-vocally, or silently in my mind.  I can be doing any number of things: like washing the dishes, cooking, exercising…and changing myself for the better at the same time.

“Easy self-hypnosis” I call it.  Okay, it’s not what we traditionally think about when we think of hypnotic suggestion.  There is no Sigmund Freud caricature dangling his pocket watch on a chain left to right in front of our eyes telling us that we are slowly getting sleepy and are falling into a relaxed and receptive state…but we are changing our normal behaviours by reprogramming our subconscious mind.

Of course one could argue for the efficacy of this form of improving oneself, but I can only speak from my own personal, subjective experience.  I feel more confident, more vibrant, more positive, more focused, and happier than before.  My income has increased, though slowly, but steadily, and with less anxious effort.  My relationships feel more fulfilling.

I find that the positive changes creep up on you inch by inch, slowly, almost imperceptibly, until others point out that you seem to be smoking less, or making healthier choices, or seem happier somehow.

Again, this has been my experience only, not the conclusion of scientific data crunching.  As they say: “Results may vary.”

Now why would I want to create a site with the express purpose of reviewing a product like Subliminal Guru? Frankly, because there wasn’t any unbiased reviews out there, or at least any that I could find.  What do they say?  “When you want something done, do it yourself.”  So that is what I’m doing.

My interest in subliminal programming stems from laziness mainly.  Who wants to work hard to change one’s bad habits and thought patterns when one can subtly influence a change in them over time with no conscious effort?  Not me.  I’ve tried a few subliminal programs, but thus far my interest flows toward this program.
